View AWS Reservation Efficiency Dashboard
Harness provides By Harness (pre-defined) and Custom (user-defined) Dashboards to visualize cloud cost data across cloud providers.
This topic describes how to view the By Harness AWS Reservation Efficiency Dashboard and get more information about that data. For more information on Reserved Instances, see Amazon EC2 Reserved Instances.
Using the AWS reservation efficiency report you can:
- View your EC2 costs at a glance and understand what is costing the most
- Compare your weekly, monthly, and yearly EC2 spend (reserved and non-reserved)
- View details of EC2 blended cost
- Get details of how reserved instances are utilized
- View your reserved and non-reserved EC2 cost
- Analyze how efficiently you are using your reserved instances
Prerequisites
- Review Set Up Cloud Cost Management for AWS
- Ensure that you have Dashboard-All View permissions assigned. Go to Manage Access Control for CCM Dashboards.
- Ensure that you have set up Cloud Cost Management (CCM) for your AWS account.
- Ensure that you have added all the required permissions for your cloud provider. The data available in the dashboard depends on the permissions you provided to the AWS cloud provider when setting up the CCM.
